Well, Tuesday was pretty normal. We went to Noodles and Company after paying off the mortgage. Then, when we got home, one of our neighbors, Linda, called me to see if we could go out and obtain signatures for the Madison Drive cul-su-sac residents to hold the Block Party. So, out of the 12 houses we visited, we got 4 signatures, 1 refusal, and 7 not-homes. We have to get at least 80% of the signatures to have the block party. We'll try again soonly here I'm sure. It was nice to meet some of the neighbors...I look forward to meet more here soon. I would like to do what I planned and bake 5 dozen chocolate chip cookies and introduce ourselves to the neighbors on our block. Anyway, after that, we watched some shows off the Replay and went to bed.
Wednesday, we spent taking the U-Haul back to the U-Haul drop off facility. I had to haul the kids and
oldcrow had to drive back the truck. We finally found the place with much manuevering and after that we went to The Assembly, then, for dinner we had Giordano's pizza. We watched some Rock Star:INXS.
I'm glad Michael won...though Ralph was also pretty darn good too! I still think he'll get an investor to back his restaurant idea. So, no biggie for him. The final test was awesome! Got to see both of the finalists' restaurant ideas and foods from start to finish. I hope they do a Hell's Kitchen 2. :) It was cool to see Chef Ramsay's "sports commentator" type comments when it came to the final test for Ralph and Michael. And the "Mole"-like ending where the contestant that opens the door and walks through it wins...was great too! :)
Tomorrow, it is
oldcrow's 41st birthday! YAY! I already got him a present of a new shaver. A
Braun Deluxe Syncro System 7680 It's really spiffy and shaves his face rather well! :) I'm also pondering getting a Cookies 'n' Cream ice cream cake from Oberweis Dairy for the CHAOS meeting this weekend to celebrate not only
oldcrow's birthday on Friday, but on Saturday to celebrate
gavv's birthday too! Today, we went to
Goebbert's Farm Market and Garden Center I got 12 ears of fresh sweet corn and looked around a bit. I think I'll go there to get gardening stuff cause they had a bamboo spout, shishiodoshi, and some bamboo fences. I definitely use it for my first gardening project of making the zen rock garden/shishiodoshi fountain. :) It'll be awesome. :) Well, overall, it's good so far. As I said before, I'm having a CHAOS BBQ this Saturday and all my friends on the friends list are invited. Just let me know and I'll add you to the Evite. :) OH, also, we plan on doing some putt-putt golf before the CHAOS BBQ that starts at about 6pm. If you want in on that, lemme know! We're going to probably hit the Congo River putt-putt on Barrington Rd. in Hoffman Estates.
